Giving that this is the 5th or 6th game in the UFC's game line-up over the last 10years, with all the other games being very mediocre and fun for a few minutes, many would assume that this game would follow in its footsteps.
But with THQ now pathing the path of destiny with this game and developers Yukes who also develop the Smackdown series of games every year within the THQ team, this game had a hell of a lot riding on it.
Upon first impressions of the game though you realise that its pretty easy to strike from the standing position, whilst being able to take an opponent down can be quite tricky upon first trying to gather the appropriate controls if its your first time playing the game.
However once the skill of taking somebody down is mastered then its time to learn how to transition from one end of the opponents body like guard to side guard or the mounted position which can be quite tricky to do in the harder difficulties.
However all the games controls seem to work fine and after playing at least 100 matches within the demo i am still finding out new combos and moves that i didn't know existed before.
Even though the demo only contains two fighters for the moment and a limited menu system i highly suggest still picking this game up because the sheer amount of fun that can be had here is quite good. And if your anything like me this game will keep you playing for hours on end.
The blood effects also within the game are good and say in most games after a short amount of time the blood will evaporate into thin air. In this game if your blood or an opponents either hits the mat or gets onto the torso of a guy then it will stay there during the whole fight and progressively get worse with the beatings that go on during the fight.
Anyway all that's left to say about this game is definitely try out this demo okay it wont be for everybody but i sure enjoyed playing through it. And i know i will definitely go and buy the game when it gets released in little less then a month.
