During the weekend at Microsoft's latest conference in Mexico, it was confirmed that Xbox users in the preview program will be getting a new update for their consoles next week which will bring keyboard and mouse support to the console.
This has been a much requested feature within the Xbox community ever since the console launched, and Microsoft have teased the odd tid bit here and there regarding them working on bringing the functionality to consoles. This will no doubt help with all sim based games including the strategy genre where you can be more precise with a mouse and keyboard than a controller.
As it stands we know of a few titles that will launch with keyboard and mouse support next week those being Fortnite and Warframe, as well as Bomber Crew and Deep Rock Galactic. Afterwards gamers can look forward to having other titles such as Strange Brigade, Vermintide 2, War Thunder, and X-Morph: Defense getting the enhanced functionality at a later this month. Furthermore these last few titles have advised they will see the support but a timeframe has not been provided as of yet Children of Morta, DayZ, Minion Master, Moonlighter, Vigor, Warfare, and Wargroove.
So are you looking forward to dusting off an old keyboard and mouse, or perhaps readying your pc gaming gear to hook up to your console to pwn some n00bs online. Let us know in the comments.
