Publisher SODESCO have released a trailer which shows off some more of Elea ahead of its launch. Elea is an episodic space title which the developer Kyodai has said draws inspiration from books of classic sci-fi writers such as Stanislaw Lem, Arthur C. Clarke and Frank Herbert.
The story trailer that has been released seems to show off a highly stylized space station where all is not as it seems and great mystery's await has you go in search to find your loved ones. Kyodai however have tried to put a new spin on the first person adventure/puzzle perspective. They have said that during studying other games and developers they noticed a trend whereas many first person adventures offer just one main distinct location, with one specific visual style. With this the team have decided that they wanted their story in space to have the same oomph as other games within the genre, and advised that we can expect to see levels with lava, snow and even perhaps a jungle to roam around in.
So this is all rather exciting stuff, and after watching the trailer for ourselves. We would like to ask you are you as excited for this as we are? Story driven episodic games really seem to be coming into their own as of late with titles like The Council etc, and we just hope this will be able to sit right on up there with the best of them when the game launches September 6th.
