When Phil Spnecer took to the Microsoft Xbox stage last night for E3, we knew from past years that he liked to throw in complete surprises for us all to marvel at.

This year was no different, as during the course of the media briefing, Phil went on record to say that the Xbox portfolio of exclusive titles, is about to become bigger and better than ever before. This comes in the form of Microsoft teaming up and purchasing four highly talented studios and forming a whole brand new one to work on never before seen experiences.

The studios Microsoft has acquired are the following:
Ninja Theory - Hellblade
Playground Games - Forza Horizon
Compulsion Games - We Happy Few
Undead Labs - State of Decay
Microsoft's new Studio - The Initiative

It is in no doubt that Microsoft are in desperate times seeing as they really did have no exclusives to show off, so we can only hope we start to see what these teams have been working on during the next twelve months.
