Revival Productions which is headed up by Matt Toschlog and Mike Kulas who were co founders Parralex Software, the creators of the FPS title Descent way back in the day, have announced that their recently release Steam hit Overload will be hitting Consoles during the Q3 period of 2018.
Overload is being billed as a spiritual successor to descent and promises to pay homage to the old six degrees of freedom mechanics whilst also offering a more modern take on the genre by adding more depth to the way the game plays and feels and offering more enriched visuals and environments.
When questioned about Overload, Mike Kulas had the following to say "We started Overload as a nostalgic homage to Descent, but it’s really grown into something more. We were able to create a deep story with voice, a new challenge mode and add VR support. And all this is on top of graphics and sound we could only dream about 20 years ago, It's been a blast creating this game, and we especially value the relationships we’ve formed with our Kickstarter backers and Early Access players"
The game promises to offer plenty of content in the way of secrets to uncover and plenty of levels to blast your way through, the game will also feature an xp progression system as well as a challenge mode and multiplayer modes as well as plenty more, this is not half bad for a game based as a follow up to a creation from twenty years ago. Once we hear more we will let you know, and if you cannot wait until then the game is currently on Steam and ready to play.
