Developer: Ubisoft Montreal Publisher: Ubisoft Platform: Xbox One, PS4, PC Release Date: 1st December (Initially 13th October) Seems we have to wait a little bit longer for the release of Ubisoft's new Rainbow Six game, which is being pushed back to 1st December from its original 13th October release date. This does not affect the date of the closed beta, which is still coming on 24th September.
We’ve decided to push the release date of Rainbow Six Siege to December 1, 2015 for all regions. This wasn’t an easy decision, but based on the feedback we’ve received, and based on our own internal tests, we felt there are adjustments and improvements we can make, including improving the co-op experience across all game modes, weapon and gadget balancing, as well as menu and interface navigation. We’re taking a little more time to make these changes, and we think it’s the right call. The closed beta for Rainbow Six Siege will still start on September 24, 2015 as planned, and the additional time will allow us to further test things like infrastructure and matchmaking. That extra testing and added polish will make for a higher-quality experience at launch. We understand that many of you are excited to get your hands on the final game, but as gamers ourselves we know that quality comes first and we are committed to delivering the best game possible.
This may annoy some gamers but at least with the delay they can finalise everything and ensure they dont have any shortfalls upon release. 2014 was notorious for broken games and countless issues on release day: Assassins Creed Unity and The Master Chief Collection come to mind. For now, gamers can look forward to the beta in a month's time.
