A live conference went out moments ago over Facebook for The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings. The first thing that was announced is that the entire development for the Xbox 360 version was restarted. This means that the game is NOT a port, but is actually an entire remake of the hit PC game. A lot of issues got fixed, such as having an intelligent camera and better targeting systems. The main news which everyone wanted to know however, was what it contains and when is it released. It will release as The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings Enhanced Edition. But what makes it an enhanced edition? Well, to begin with, the game will begin with a 3.5 minute long CGI introduction, 33 minutes of new movies, animations and cinematics. Alongside that, will be another 4 hours of game-play, featuring 2 new adventures involving characters from the main game in new locations. Even more new details will be announced closer to the release. As far as game content however, the 2 disc Enhanced Edition is the basic edition of the game, which comes with the game, manual, soundtrack and a map at a regular price of a new game. Also there will be a Dark Edition, which is the limited edition. This will feature the Enhanced Edition as well as a 'Making Of' DVD, quest handbook, stickers, metal wolf head medallion on a chain and a coffee table sized art book. Available for pre-order right now, The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings Enhanced Edition will be on store shelves April 17th. Those who pre-order get even more content. Visit buy.thewitcher.com/...
