Last time I helped you out with a few achievements from the Arcade version of Sonic The Hedgehog 1, so this time I'm going to help you get a full 200G from completing the Arcade version of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - also originally for the Genesis/Mega Drive.

If you do not own it already it can be purchased off of the Marketplace for a mere 400MS.

Chaos Emerald - 10G - Get one Chaos Emerald.

To enter a special stage you need to have collected 50 rings. Once you pass the checkpoint a circle of stars will appear above it - just jump into it to begin the special stage.

Make use of the save feature wherever you feel you need it - at the beginning of the stage and/or after each checkpoint. Once you have the emerald in your grasp you'll be transported back to the main level and you will receive this achievement.

Emerald Hill - 5G - Clear the Emerald Hill Zone 1.

This should be easy enough, simply complete act 1 of Emerald Hill. As soon as you pass the finish line you will unlock this achievement.

Fast Emerald - 15G - Beat Emerald Hill Zone 1 in under 35 seconds in single-player or co-op mode.

Not as hard as it sounds providing that you stay as high as you can. Try not to get distracted by rings and items, only destroy enemies that need destroying and try and learn where to jump and use the surroundings to boost you upwards and forwards.

A couple of test runs might be sufficient to try to see which ways take the less time to get past. if you fail, simply restart and try again. Using the spin dash is a good way to gain speed and fast but don't always rely on it to work as well as you'd hoped!

Fast Chemical - 20G - Beat Chemical Plant Zone 1 in under 45 seconds.

This is can be a toughie if you aren't careful, follow the same rules as the previous guide and it should make this achievement a little easier. You need to take specific routes because otherwise you will waste too much time in pipes and obstacles - therefore ignore the previous rule about staying higher up in the map.

Casino - 10G - Get to the Casino Night Zone.

Not too hard but again, if you find yourself struggling then make use of the save feature whenever you need it or after every level.

To get to the Casino Zone you will have needed to pass both acts of the Emerald Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone and the Aquatic Ruins Zone.

[colonelsize=64,64]
Win - 35G - Beat the game.

Take your time, make use of the save feature in case you get stuck and find yourself dying a lot.

Collect as many extra lives as you can, collecting 100 rings will award you with one as will getting 10,000 points.

Make sure you always have at least one ring present as this will stop you from dying in most cases.

You need not collect the Chaos Emeralds, however doing so might give you an easier time throughout the rest of the levels.

Conquering Time - 10G - Beat the game in under an hour.

I think the record for completing Sonic 2 is around 20 minutes - therefore doing this in under an hour is definitely possibly and not as hard as it sounds.

The trick is to avoid distractions, only take out enemies that need to be taken out, keep enough rings to stay alive but don't go out of your way to get them and most of all - avoid the special stages!

It is also a wise idea to make use of the save anywhere feature - save after every level that you deem to be of a considerable time limit, maybe make use of all three save slots to make sure you don't need to revert back to a very old save or from the beginning.

If you are that paranoid about how long it's taken you, make a mental note of the time taken after each level and add them up in your head.

Chaos Master - 40G - Get all the Chaos Emeralds.

It is possible to get all 7 Emeralds by the end of Act 2 of Emerald Hill - providing you know where all of the checkpoint posts are.

Take some time out to learn where each of them is and learn how to make sure you have the sufficient amount of rings before you get there. Passing a checkpoint without the required amount of rings will deem it useless if you are planning on trying for a Chaos Emerald. Also note that if you pass a checkpoint after missing one - it will deem all of the checkpoints before it useless too.

To enter a special stage you need to have collected 50 rings. Once you pass the checkpoint a circle of stars will appear above it - just jump into it to begin the special stage.

Make use of the save feature wherever you feel you need it - at the beginning of the stage and/or after each checkpoint. Once you have the emerald in your grasp you'll be transported back to the main level - However all of the rings and items will reappear, so by all means head backwards to collect some more rings to prepare for the next checkpoint.

Super Sonic - 20G - Become Super Sonic.

If you read the Chaos Master achievement guide, you'll see that you need to collect seven Chaos Emeralds. Doing so will allow you to transform into Super Sonic provided that you collect 50 rings first.

As soon as you jump after collecting 50 rings you'll turn into Super Sonic and you will get this achievement.

[colonelsize=64,64]
Extended Super - 20G - Stay in Super Sonic mode for one minute.

If you read the Chaos Master achievement guide, you'll see that you need to collect seven Chaos Emeralds. Doing so will allow you to transform into Super Sonic provided that you collect 50 rings first.

As soon as you jump after collecting 50 rings you'll turn into Super Sonic and you will be a lot faster, you can jump higher and you are also invincible to everything except falling down pits and being crushed. However being so strong makes your rings deplete 1 every second. When your ring count reaches 0 you will turn back into normal Sonic.

So in order to get this achievement you will need a minimum of 60 rings - then either play through the level as normal until you get it or just stand still and let yourself run out of rings.

All Multiplayer - 5G - Play all four multiplayer zones.

Getting this achievement couldn't be easier. All you need is an extra controller or a friend willing to play them on XBOX LIVE.

All you need to do is load each of the four levels up (Emerald Hill, Casino Night, Mystic Cave and the Special Stage). Once you have loaded the level, either play through it for the sake of competition or just exit and load another up.

Once you have loaded the last level it should pop up straight away!

[colonelsize=64,64]
Xbox Live Racer - 10G - Win 10 versus zones on Xbox Live.

This can be a tricky one to get because not a lot of people play this game online - your best bet is to either start a custom match and wait for someone to join you or summon a friend who has the game and trade.

The only downside to the first method is that most people will quit after a few rounds (especially if they get the achievement before you) or they will think its unfair that you keep winning. However if they are in the same boat as you and know what is good for them then they will understand that you wish to gain the achievement and so may help you get it if you help them also.
