This game has already made my Christmas list! Lost Planet 2: Colonies is the next chapter in the lost planet world. The story takes place ten years after the last segment which if you haven't played yet, you should give a try before diving into this one. The main difference between this game and the last one, is the fact that the game focuses mainly on your own customizable character, and some of the environment melted so you will be given the chance to play in jungle-like environments for a change.
For the most part the game play is still the same but knowing Jun Takeuchi, he couldn't resist adding an over-the-shoulder view like in resident evil. The main aspect of the game that most fans are looking forward to is the new co-op mode which seems to be available only through online play. New multiplayer maps, weapons, and game modes have been added including one which allows you to play as the Akrid. If you have played Left 4 Dead the mode allowing you to play as the Akrid should seem familiar. The game is set to cost merely $30 which isn't a bad price.
The game is shaping up to be pretty good. There is no set release date but, if you enjoyed the first one this one should blow your mind. Keep on the lookout for Lost Planet Colonies later this year.
