Today saw the announcement of another studio closing down. This time it was Guildford Studio, which is part of Codemasters. This is the studio that was behind the recently released Bodycount. A spokesperson for Codemasters stated that the closure of that branch of their company was to focus upon their racing titles, of which they are well known for.
It would be unsurprising that the poor ratings and release figures of Bodycount, which came out on the 2nd September, could've also been a key factor in this decision, as most reviewers on many sites scored it lowly. As with any form of closures, 66 members of staff lost their jobs, however they were encouraged to apply at either Codemasters Birmingham branch,or at the headquarters.
