For those who were dissapointed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine was shipping without co-op ability, we have good news. THQ have announced that the game will be getting DLC, allowing co-op play. Best of all, it's going to be free. It's called 'Exterminatus', and it will provide two co-op scenarios, for up to four players. Alongside the free co-op ability, this will also enable the Leaderboard support and it's expected to be released early October.

Quick question, guys - How much does co-op/multiplayer affect your buying choice. Obviously if it's promised from the beginning you want it, but would you buy a game FOR Co-op, or avoid a game if it didn't have it? Does having local options add to that?

Personally a big decider for me is if a game has local AND online co-op - yet it happens so rarely. Anyhoo, just wondering what everyone else is thinking...

Personally, I think if you intend a game to have co-op, be it local or online or both, then you should release it with that on the disc, instead of waiting a month to give out free DLC to fix it.
