During a presentation which took place at the Namco-Bandai booth at Gamescom, a representative made one thing clear, which had caused considerable confusion during a demo. The game in question was Dark Souls, the up-coming action/adventure game, which is the sequel to the PS3 exclusive, Demon's Souls. People were curious and confused about DLC planned for Dark Souls.
Well, the representative at the booth stated that it will be a stand alone game. What releases in October is complete, and there are no plans for any DLC. While those who think DLC is the way forward in gaming, this could cause many sighs of relief, as Dark Souls looks to be one of the more difficult games featured on the consoles. Even one of the trailers, was just showing how easy it can be to die. Dark Souls is set to last around 50-60 hours and will be hitting shelves on 4th October(NA) and 7th October(PAL).
So will you be one of the brave souls who traverse the world provided in Dark Souls, or will the fear of what may be around the corner prove too much?
