May contain minor spoilers

L.A. Noire is a good detective game which had a few minor flaws. Overall the game received positive reviews. The Nicholson Electroplating case lives up to the standard set by the game and in my opinion, also beats it as well with the size of the crime scene and following investigations. It's an Arson case, and opens with Phelps and Biggs talking about the events of the main story. Suddenly there's a big explosion which shakes the whole district and leaves a messy case for the detectives.

This leads into the usual searching for clues phase, only this time the area is a lot bigger due to the size of the explosion. To me this is a good step forward as it isn't the usual cramped rooms with clues near to each other, which makes it more of a challenge to find all the clues (unless you use intuition points to reveal all clues). Further on in the case you also search inside a big hanger which other than clues contains a Spruce Goose, otherwise known as the Hughes H-4 Hercules. The case also provides a good car chase and a shootout, which fit in nicely with the story.

While it was a fun case to play, I felt that it was quite short in comparison to the main games cases. During the car chase I experienced a few moments of the game slowing down before fixing itself. I'm unsure if this was due to the DLC or just a frame rate issue from the game itself. Despite this, I feel it's a worthwhile piece of content, especially priced at 320MSP (or free if you have the Rockstar Pass).

I really enjoyed this DLC, shame all the DLC for the game was just cases cut from the game in the first place to free up room, im still hoping that they will release the burglary and fraud cases as DLC in the future.

Anyway i loved the way they modified a few blocks of the game to make it look genuine that a big explosion had gone off with buildings broken and torn apart, that looked awesome.

The one achievement though was a pain to get but this game is awesome anyway best one so far this year. Looking forward to the next DLC even though i hate Vice cases

Is the one achievement you are on about the one for shooting through the windscreens? I missed that one. it is an enjoyable case and I hope if they do more dlc after the Vice case that they include wider ranged crime scenes. I am not keen on the Vice cases either. I think the other desks would be a good addition, I hadn't realised until recently they initially planned more than those featured.
Yeah that is the achievement, it took me a good ten times to do it and when i did do it i got lucky. But yeah Burglary and fraud were two desks that never made the final cut, if you notice when you pretty much start the game the first traffic case they mention you got promoted from burglary.

The game was supposed to be a whole lot longer then it actually was but to stop the game being on four or five discs i would imagine a good 10 cases were scrapped. But i do hope they return as DLC only makes sense seeing as they are probably already made, scripted and animated.

It would be a waste if they didn't. I will leave that achievement for now, mainly because when I got to the shootout bit I didn't even see which car it meant, unless it meant the ones that come during that part. I have to repeat disc 3 anyway for the 5 star ratings.
