Microsoft have said that their best selling hardware add-on, Kinect has become more accurate since launch, and will continue to be refined.

Xbox Senior Product Manager, David Dennis said:

I think like we showed at E3, like Kudo showed with Kinect Fun Labs, a lot of that tech is the advancements we've made in the accuracy, the tracking... being able to show finger tracking in the sparkles demo he did.
You saw too with Ubisoft's gunsmith demo [for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier] he was using his hand to fire in the firing range mode. I think that's the kind of thing we're going to continue to iterate on.

There'll be more updates in the future. And though he didn't mention any specifics, Dennis said that There are already people working on things for next year and the year after inside our secret bunkers, and we'll continue to bring amazing stuff that consumers love.

Oh, words... free to write or to pronounce but, will we see it becoming a reality ?

kinect is a hell of a tech gadget but it maybe came too early. Controls are not accurate enough yet for certain games or gameplay.

Wich reminds me of Microsoft's statement about the core players. They shouldn't try to ram kinect thru our throats like a 16 years old doing a prostitute for his firt time.

Just make kinect to give you an EDGE advantage (and that doesn't need las surgeon accuracy). People buy turbo controllers and such to have it, so... why not making i.e. COD games to lean left or right when you are behind a corner and thus, exposing yourself less to enemy fire, if you move slighly your body ? The game would still be controller powered but kinect would naturally implement something that always was an eyesore to do with the pad giving players some sort of bonus. I can see core gamers going kinect just to rest sure they got all the aces on their hand.

And that came out of a semi retarded guy in less than 5 secs. Imagine the possibilities that a well paid team can come with, but no, you are the controller so you don't need controller at all. I'm so willing to jump in but see so few reasons to do so... :(

Kinect clearly has the ability to be more accurate, this is demonstrated by non-3rd party games. What's lacking is good programmers outside of MS Games Studios.
