Earlier this year, Twisted Pixel, creators of the Splosion Man Series, Comic Jumper and more had announced they were making a shooter for Kinect, titled The Gunstringer. As with all their games, it was due to be released on the Xbox Live Arcade. However at E3 they have now announced that their game will actually be on a retail game disc, this will allow them to fit more content on the disc. However the down side is it will probably have a RRP of 39.99.

The Gunstringer is due for release this fall.

Excellent news, the same case as joyride... why have it for free when you could pay for it ?

It's starting to feel like sales backwards; instead of buy 2 and get one for free (known here as 3 for 2) its pay three and just get two. WOOOW BUY IT NOW PEOPLE !!1!

:D

An insult to people's inteligence.

I'm ok with most of business decissions in that given market, I don't like to complain on regular basis cause I know they all are no NGO doing stuff for free just to keep people happy, they are in the biz to make money but this is comming to a point where things start feeling ridiculous.

To put it simply and maybe not in the most polite way, They want to milk my wallet dry but they will milk my dick instead. Not buying. Period.

I however LOVE to complain... but I wont, it's not worth it. I don't have a kinect and until it's used in some unique way - I won't be getting one. The downside? This will be the first Twisted Pixel game I won't buy DAY1. :(

The bottom line is that they ended up with a pretty good game or at least one that looks like it so they then were like hey, this looks like a retail game why don't we just box it and add some extra levels to justify it?

Hate that, cause once you got the design and the core of a game done, just adding levels is the easyest part. It's not like they got more resources from the start to make it a retail game.

Also, the fact that kinect lacks games may have helped it to made into retail cathegory.

I don't own kinect yet and yes, this will be the first twisted pixel I won't be having day 1

...

And that last sentence feels a bit sad.
