Want a poster of your Xbox Live Avatar, perhaps you'd like a miniature figurine, or maybe even your Avatar engraved in the back of a Zune device? Well now you can...

Xbox has teamed up with Fathead and FigurePrints in order to give US residents (sorry UK), the ability to have their Avatar immortalised in an actual form that you can feel - rather than just on your screens.

However, due to licensing restrictions, not all of your Avatar Wear will be compatible - but you don't know until you try so follow this link to get more information, including links on how you can purchase them as well:

Bummer
- Not avaliable outsude the US.
- Items you actually paid for (and serve no purpose since just like 5 games actively feature avatars) won't be showing in your poster, figure, etc.

Have I to go further? I have to insist despite I like Avatars there isn't much to enjoy about them. Everything related is cheaply made (no switching colors for certain gear? just a quick example) and little to no integration into general gaming. Plus they want you to pay for even looking at them.

Avatards; nice but underdeveloped idea (still nowadays) and poorly managed so far.

Tate,

I'll dare to say I'm a sculptor... I could made an avatar statue out of $1 raw materials (I meant it). I also know 3D printing services, this meaning you cant print yourself ANY 3D file you provide way cheeeeeaper than microsofts.

They benefit on people's desinformation (wich I don't find wrong as they save them research and thus, time).

So despite being a diehard xbox live guy and understanding the risks of secondary market (soon people would dress their avatar as a Starwars character or so, making few figure copies and ebay 'em as exclusives trying to make money on microsoft's expenses) I still won't buy any of those cause the aforementined stuff.

Now back to sculpting and spray painting... my lungs would be more than happy to see me coming back to cigarretes rather than aspiring those fumes! :D
