A few of you might have recently been experiencing some messages while using Xbox Live saying that some content is not currently available.

Microsoft have today revealed that the reason for the down time was due to them tweaking the Marketplace experience, on a plus side some of you may be getting some free Microsoft Points out of it.

Microsoft has been sending out emails to some users informing them of the changes saying that there is now an enhanced Game Marketplace to make finding games and content easier.

Attached to this message is a code worth 80 Microsoft Points to help you test out the improvements.

Did you get an email?

I did not get an email or code either but since I didn't even notice there was down time I do not feel it is owed to me.

As far as I am aware I don't have an e-mail yet but I haven't checked my console yet, only Xbox.com so I don't know.
