With Microsoft announcing Kinect already having great success after 10 days by selling over 1 million units, it would be only appropriate for Microsoft to release some information on what's to come for Kinect. Microsoft looks to be planning to use the 2010 Spike TV Video Games Awards (VGAs) to announce new Kinect items, including something to do with Gears of War, with word coming straight from EPIC games.

No word by Microsoft or EPIC was announced on whether this would be a whole new Gears of War experience, or possibly add-on to one of the two games already out there. Either way, this is definitely a huge news story as many gamers have been questioning Kinect's lack of hard-core games.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Unless it's a kinect exclusive title it has high numbers to be craptacular, since already existing GoW gameplay formula would suck either supporting full body movement or just sixaxis like controls.

At least we are lucky that epic is a focused developer wich (I hope) won't ruin such great moneymaking franchise so I expect something apart from GoW 3 and possibly, good stuff.

@MFCH 37 : Saw that on Cliffy's Twitter. Still could be for Gears of War or GOW 2. We will see soon!

Looks like Kinect will be coming to either GOW or GOW2, Eric. Cliffy did not deny that Kinect would be utilized in any of the games, besides announcing that GOW3 would NOT be using it.
