The Summer of Arcade selection for the Xbox Live Marketplace this year was amazing with great titles being put out, but most popular, Limbo. Though a simple black and white game, Limbo stole the hearts of many gamers out there with its mystery and puzzle solving gameplay. With Limbo selling so well, gamers have been anticipating a Limbo 2 - but for now - Playdead has something else on their plate.

In an interview with Joystiq (joystiq.com/2010/10/11/limbo... ... -on-new-ip), CEO of Playdead, Dino Patti, revealed that the team will be working on new game that could possibly be going multiplatform. Don't be upset Limbo fans, Patti revealed that this new game will be very similar to Limbo, but yet be a whole new experience for gamers. I can't tell much, but I can tell you that if you liked Limbo, it'll definitely be for you. The gameplay style you'll really like. You'll feel it's the same team who made it, but everything will be changed.

What would you guys like to see with this new game coming from Playdead? More story driven, or the path Limbo went with its eerie gameplay style brining very little story?

There are a few points about Limbo that I'll save for a future article. None the less, I think that anything from these guys is welcome. Limbo was a nicely crafted game, helped out with a brilliant visual style. Even if it was more of the same, I'd be a little less grumpy, I'm sure.

the same old story: exclusives - they make money out of microsoft's hardcore gamers base (dead rising, mass effect, and name some arcades too) and then jump to multiplatform.
