With the release of the Medal of Honor beta for the Xbox 360, after such a long wait, comes big news from the developers on the game, music, and future.
Since us Xbox 360 fans had such a long wait to fix issues, the beta will be extended till August 9th
, while the PS3 and PC beta will be ending July 31st. EA went on to announce in the same blog some of the fixes they will be making for the final game thanks to the feedback from all you gamers out there. Aspects like hit detection, breath control, crash fixes, mapping, HUD polishing, weapon stats, and spawn points will all be tweaked and/or fixed for the final version, which is hitting shelves October 12th 2010.
EA went on to announce earlier this week that Grammy award-winning band Linkin Park would be headling Medal of Honor. Their song entitled “The Catalyst,” will be featured in an exclusive trailer directed by the band’s Joe Hahn. The trailer is a unique first-of-its-kind mix of live footage and intense modern military action from the Medal of Honor game and will be released exclusively on August 1 at www.medalofhonor.com/linkinpark, one day before the song is released to radio, iTunes® and other media.
For all you Battlefield fans out there; this next part should excite you very much. EA announced today that with the purchase of the Medal of Honor Limited Edition, you will gain access to the Battlefield 3 beta. The Battlefield 3 beta offer lasts 12 months after the release of Medal of Honor, so you would expect to see that demo hitting sometime in 2011. The beta requires you to have an Xbox Gold
membership, so if you want to get in on the action, you better buy now!
