A retail listing by GameStop may indicate that Borderlands publisher 2K Games is planning to put out a Game of the Year edition of the fun and crazy loot-fest, Borderlands. Now we all know this isn't the first time a big retailer has let the cat out-of-the bag, but you can't be upset at this news.
A listing for a Borderlands GOTY strategy guide (gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDe...
seems to indicate a re-release for the popular game, and according to the ship date, it should appear around the beginning of September (although we often see strategy guides released before the accompanying title comes out).
The question is, what will the GOTY edition contain if it comes out? A no-brainer would be to include the three DLC installments for the game: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, and The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. 2K says that there will be a fourth DLC, but that hasn't been announced yet. It would be great if this GOTY included that, but we'll have to wait and see.
Some of you, like myself, who have barley gotten into the Borderlands can hopefully have a reason to jump into the loot-fest, which still is being played by many. The game is great (the part I have played at least), and with this little GOTY edition, it will hopefully reach out to those who haven't been able to keep up with games or their DLC.
