Gamestop has a $149.99 price point for Microsoft's upcoming Kinect system up on its website (
gamestop.com/Catalog/Product... ... t_id=78103). Following the conspicuous lack of a Kinect price announcement at Microsoft's just-concluded press conference, this wouldn't be the first time that Gamestop has mistakenly leaked a price in advance of the official statement.
A $149.99 initial price is right in line with all the pre-show rumours, which had Kinect (then Natal) coming out between $150-200.
Will we be seeing a Kinect/360 Slim bundle though? That would seem to be a smart move with everyone wanting the latest in technology! Who knows though, only time will tell!

Not a really affordable experiment. I know it's top notch tech we are speaking of, but let's consider what happened to Live Vision... it was all flash at the start, you got totemball for free and promises of games using it but then it just was burnout paradise and rainbow six (along with few others) wich used it.
Just imagine you don't have the chance to try it beforehand, so you spend two hundred spacebucks on it and then you don't like it at all or it ends up dead short after its launch...
Way too many ...

If i see this gets supported more and takes off well and recieves a bit of a price drop then i may consider it. But for an add on which may only last a few years before the next BIG thing comes out. Then im abit iffy on it tbh

On the other hand though, look what it does... Not only compleatly changes the way you play your games but just interacting with your Xbox 360. Video chat, navigating the menus, all of the exclusive games much more then anything else out there for any console. And when it boils down to it, it really isnt the most expensive thing out there. When some of the Rock Band stuff or DJ Hero stuff can be close to $200. And thats just for a game.
But all and all, as Aaron Greenburg said this is ONLY a speculation. No price and package details have been announced yet for Kinect. So heres to hoping they do add some games or something to it in the box, other then just the Kinect itself.

This as to be microsofts worst E3 to date but with the disapoiting array of games being supported for Kinect i think i will just pass on this now even though some of the things were starting to look cool. But other then that my interest is now lost

The show was just the official presentation of what we already had seen before the the usual suspects : a GOW game, a COD game and a HALO one.
I hope microsoft won't focuss too much on kinect.
Besides, I'm the only one here thinking the xbox 360 is great just for its arcade titles and Live ? With time retail games end up failing epically for me and dissapointing none the less they don't live up to expectations due to the feel games nowadays are sold unfinished or roughly done (RDR) but there is always an arcade title on the horizon that you know will deliver lots of fun so may we get some arcade announcements in the next days...

If you take a look at gta IV now that had alot of bugs and glitches aswell, all sandbox games do theres no real way to get rid of bugs from games that are that big.
Hell even saints row 2 was bug galore but it didnt stop the fun factor if anything it added more fun to the game lol.

Rockstar games are just ENTERTAINING to me. Don't take me wrong please. Entertaining is the real purpose for videogames, but when they surpass that and get utterly fun, then you got a masterpiece, no matter how fugly its graphics are compared to you competitors' or the massive achievement prevention bugs you left unsolved :)
Still, my point is that right now ARCADES are my cup of tea; I got more fun from them than from A.Wake and RDR together.
Games nowadays take themselves too seriously. Art direction and production values are important (see P.B. Winterbottom -note; wich is also fun to play-) but in the end it's all about how fun the experience is, not how many minigames you played between taking a look at superb horses' butt animation.
On the topic, I got a tweet from aaron greenberg saying known price for kinect is just speculation. I RT and replied him that I hope so, cause a peripherial being as expensive as the core system itself is plain CRAZY.
I hope they take it to account.
