Yes it was sort of to be expected seeing as how almost every launch title for Kinect as Kinect at the start, So without further ado I bring to you.... Kinect Joy Ride.

As expected and seen in the E3 demo the game will be a kart racer where you drive with your hands turning around for direction, you also have to push your hands forward towards Kinect to do a boost.

You do tricks by turning your body around in different positions.

Other then that though no other details were confirmed or whether or not this will still be free or not. Chances are though is that Microsoft now wants us to cough up the dough for it

Kart racer really? Didn't see any kart nor power ups arround. To me it looked like PURE meets Sega racing, but without shootouts.

Still feels dissapointing... I just wanted a simple but fun sega racing clone for free and they charging for customization stuff, was it so hard to achieve?

Totemball made my arms to feel numb so IMHO kinect controls might ruin this one.

I wanted it FREE and SIMPLE cause that's the way they announced it in 1st place so it makes sense.

Sometimes to involve money in the equation may be good cause there will be more resources to make a good game but also it can make them aim to more than they could achieve and fail epically.

It happened before that developers bite more than they could chew. Look at snoopy flying acei.e. they could have gone for a boxed retail game adding more maps and improving something here and there but they'd have ended with a mediocre retail title. They aimed lower and nailed it as an arcade game.

Still, gameplay looks to me much like UNIRALLY clone, no karting game sir, and those kind of games proved good for long playing sessions wich won't be happening with kinect. I really think your arms will get numb after few minutes so it will demerit the gameplay instead of enhacing anything.
