The man of many talents, Shaun White, has been working on his new self titled skateboarding game. Entering the gauntlet along side solid franchises like Skate and Tony Hawk, Shaun White is looking to take his next step in success and domination.
This first trailer shows how you'll be able to transform a dull and lifeless city into your very own skate park. Stretched across several large districts, Shaun White's Skateboarding will start you off in a flat, featureless urban landscape that will transform into a skating utopia as you complete challenges.
When we started making the game, we knew we wanted to give players a sense of how skaters see the world - everything is an opportunity, said Nick Harper, Creative Director. What looks like a handrail to us is really a grind. A park bench is a place to trick, an alley is a quarter pipe, etc. We've taken that idea and expanded it. We wanted to put our own twist on the genre and craft the type of game that allows players to be creative and still have a lot of fun.
Grind rails will stretch and twist to new heights, fountains will empty into bowls and the street will morph into ramps as depicted in the live-action video. 80+ tricks will be in the game including White's very own 'Armadillo' trick, and you'll be able to take the action online for co-operative and competitive game modes.
Shaun White Skateboarding is slated for an autumn 2010 release. Watch the trailer right here.
