With the 5-6 year wait for the release of Alan Wake coming to a close very... Very soon (today for our European neighbors) Remedy has felt fit to announce the July date for its first scheduled DLC and give us a few clues on what to expect from it.

Speaking to CVG, Remedy's Hokkinen said that the forthcoming DLC available July 28th will offer a different perspective on the Alan Wake story rather than directly expanding upon the core narrative.

Instead, the planned game add-ons will bridge the gap between seasons one and two, which is apparently already written.

Season one - just to be clear - is a full package and you'll unravel the mystery and reach all your goals, said Oskari.

The game add-ons aren't telling more of the story, so to speak. It'll give you a different perspective on the things you've done on season one and then trying to set you up for the possible things you're going to do in season two.

Season 2 a sequel!? I haven't even played the first game and I am already super excited to hear about a 2nd one! I love they way they are delivering this game and will be struggling the next few days until its release.

Already completed episode one.

Well, I wasn't hyped about this game (it felt like 1st silent hill meets obscure -a great game from the past gen-) but got it anyway just cause remedy delivered such great atmosphere with max payne back at the time.

A.WAKE isn't a groundbreaking top notch game but it's better than the sum of its parts. Great atmosphere, music and gameplay... lights and shadows are superb and combat is satisfiying so the game worths its pricetag. It's easy to get sucked in with this one, and that's more that we can say about the majority of the games that are out nowadays.

The problem is that they've been too cryptic with everything A.WAKE related. You know, I've got a DLC code sitting arround and I don't even know what I will be downloading with it, not to speak what season two will be.

Maybe a sequel, maybe bonus story on disc like dragon age's?
