Today's news was mostly focused on one subject. Bungie and Activision today announced a partnership, exclusive for 10-years, to bring Bungie's next big franchise to the world.
The new partnership agreement gives Activision worldwide publishing and distribution rights over Bungie's new intellectual property. This agreement will span across multiple platforms and devices.
We chose to partner with Activision on our next IP because of their global reach, multi-platform experience and marketing expertise, said Harold Ryan, President of Bungie. From working together over the past nine months on this agreement, it is clear that Activision supports our commitment to giving our fans the best possible gaming experiences.
Bungie will however still be independent and still own its new IP. No other news really was given about their newly planned IP except that it will be multi-platform. So now we play the waiting game...
I'm thinking E3 is a little to close before we hear anything, I doubt we will hear anything new until Halo: Reach is released.
